If a stream, live broadcast, or part of the website stops working for you, this page collects the reports we have. Our data comes from viewer submissions, so it reflects real interruptions rather than official statements. Check back here before assuming the problem is on your end.
China Television (CTV) is a Taiwanese television broadcasting company based in Taipei. It has been on air since 1968 and operates as both a business and a broadcast network, reaching households across Taiwan. Its official site is www.ctv.com.tw. Common issues with broadcasters like this include interrupted live streams, playback errors on the website, and regional access problems. Apps or set-top boxes may also fail to update listings. These problems are usually short-lived and affect only part of the audience at a time. Before reporting a fault, try a few basics. Refresh the page or restart your player. Check that your internet connection is stable and your app or browser is up to date. If a live stream buffers but the on-demand pages load, the issue may sit somewhere in the middle rather than with you or the broadcaster.

Questions

Is China Television down right now?

According to reports on this page, China Television looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for China Television yet.

Why does the CTV live stream keep buffering?

Buffering is often caused by local bandwidth rather than the broadcaster. Try lowering the stream quality, closing other downloads, or switching to a wired connection. If many reports appear here at once, the cause is more likely on the network side.

The website loads but video playback fails. What should I do?

Playback errors usually point to your browser or app. Clear the cache, disable blocking extensions, or try a different browser first. If the issue persists across devices, add a report so others can see it too.
