Cytus is a 2012 rhythm game developed by Rayark. Players tap and hold notes on a virtual line that moves across the screen, timed to music. It is available on iOS and Android, and a version called Cytus α exists as well. Progress and scores can depend on a stable connection to the game's servers. The problems we track are mostly app-side. Cytus can freeze during a song or on the menu. Updates sometimes fail to install or the app refuses to open after an update. Login issues and slow performance also show up, along with server connection errors during peak hours. Before you report a problem, try a few things on your device. Close the app fully and reopen it. Restart your phone if the freeze repeats. Check your storage, since a nearly full device can stop updates from installing. Make sure you are on a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. If scores or saves look wrong after a crash, wait a moment before restarting so the game can sync.

Questions

Is Cytus down right now?

According to reports on this page, Cytus looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Cytus yet.

Why does Cytus freeze in the middle of a song?

Freezes usually come from memory pressure on the device or a corrupted update. Close the app completely, reopen it, and lower background activity. If it keeps happening, reinstall the app after confirming your progress is backed up.

Why can't I connect to the game's servers?

Server connection errors are often temporary. Check your own internet connection first, then try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If your connection is fine, the problem may be on the game's side and worth waiting out.
