Questions

Is edX down right now?

According to reports on this page, edX looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for edX yet.

Why won't edX videos play for me?

Video failures are usually network- or browser-related. Try a different browser, lower the video quality, or switch networks. If the player shows a persistent error, the platform may be having temporary trouble serving video.

Can I keep my course progress if the platform goes offline briefly?

Yes. Progress, quiz results, and assignment submissions are stored on edX's servers and reappear when access is restored. Avoid resubmitting work if a submission seemed to time out, in case it saved after all.
