About Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator is a software application developed by Google. It is designed to improve security against unauthorized access to online accounts, generating one-time passwords for two-step verification.
Google Authenticator generates one-time verification codes for two-step sign-in. When it acts up, you can lose access to accounts that depend on it. This page collects current problem reports, common causes, and simple checks you can run before contacting support. Most issues clear up with a restart, a correct device clock, or a saved backup code.
Google Authenticator is a mobile app by Google that produces short-lived codes for two-factor authentication. You link it to an online account, and it refreshes a six-digit code every thirty seconds or so. The service works almost entirely offline, which means full outages are rare. What usually breaks is local. Codes stop matching, the app freezes on open, or sync fails after a phone switch. A wrong system clock is the most frequent culprit, since the codes depend on exact time. An outdated app version can also cause login or server connection errors. Check a few things on your side. Confirm your phone's date and time are set to automatic. Make sure the app is updated. If you changed devices, verify you transferred your accounts rather than starting fresh. Keep your backup codes somewhere safe; they work when the app does not.

I lost access to my 2FA codes and I am currently locked out of my account. Unfortunately, I do not have a backup of the secret keys or backup codes.
