About Helo

A helicopter, often shortened to "helo," "chopper," or "whirlybird," is an aerodyne that uses powered rotary wings for primary lift generation. Lift and thrust come from rotors turning on a horizontal axis, which allows vertical takeoff and landing.
Helo tracks service status in real time. If something feels off, this page tells you whether the problem is on our side or yours. We post confirmed incidents here as they develop, and we clear them once fixes are verified. Reports from users feed the live view, so spikes usually show up within minutes.
Helo is an app for sharing, posting, and connecting with others. Most days it runs quietly in the background of your routine. Common trouble spots include uploads that stall, feeds that won't refresh, and login loops after an update. Comments sometimes fail to post when the connection drops mid-send. Server connection errors tend to appear in short bursts rather than lasting long. Before reporting a fault, check a few things on your end. Confirm your app is on the latest version. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. A full sign-out and sign-in clears most session glitches, and reinstalling the app resolves corrupted cache issues that nothing else will.

Questions

Is Helo down right now?

According to reports on this page, Helo looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Helo yet.

Why does my upload keep failing at the same point?

Interrupted connections are the usual cause. Switch to a stronger network, keep the app open until the progress bar completes, and try again if it stalls. If it fails on every network, the issue may be with the file itself.

The app won't open after updating. What should I do?

Restart your device first, then try again. If it still won't open, delete and reinstall the app. Your account data is stored on our servers, so reinstalling won't remove your posts or profile.
