About MuYu
MuYu (Q1474569) is a wooden percussion instrument used in Buddhist rituals in East Asia. It is known by several names, including Chinese temple block, mokugyo, moktak, and wooden fish. It is a percussion instrument made of wood, shaped like a fish, and used in some Buddhist and Taoist traditions.
MuYu is the wooden percussion instrument used in Buddhist rituals across East Asia, known in English as the wooden fish, temple block, mokugyo, or moktak. This page tracks reports about apps and services built around the instrument, such as chanting timers and meditation tools. If something stops working, you will find current status information here, along with tips for checking your own setup before filing a report.
MuYu apps and services usually revolve around sound and rhythm. They may play temple block samples, keep a chanting tempo, or sync practice sessions across devices. Most of the time, issues are small: a sample that will not load, a login loop, or slow performance on older phones.
Server connection errors are also common, especially when practice history or settings are stored online. If the app freezes or refuses to open, an update may be waiting, or your device may be low on memory.
Start on your side. Check your internet connection, close and reopen the app, and confirm you have the latest version from your app store. Clearing the app cache often helps with freezes. If you use a login, verify your credentials on the service's website first. Then check this page for anything reported by other users.
