About Netlify

Netlify (also known as Netlify, Inc. or MakerLoop) is an American cloud computing company founded in 2014. It operates in the hosting, cloud computing, and platform-as-a-service industries. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and has ties to both the United States and Denmark. Its founders are Matt Biilmann and Christian Bach. The official website is netlify.com.
Netlify is a cloud platform for hosting websites and web applications. It handles builds, deployments, DNS, and domain management in one place. When something stops working, the cause can sit anywhere in that chain: the build step, the edge network, DNS records, or your own repository. This page tracks reported problems with the platform and gives you a quick way to tell the difference between a Netlify incident and something on your side.
Netlify, Inc. is an American cloud computing company founded in 2014, with roots in both the United States and Denmark. It provides hosting, continuous deployment from Git, serverless functions, and domain services for static sites and modern web apps. The company was originally known as MakerLoop. Common issues fall into a few groups. Deploys can fail during the build phase, often due to a dependency change or an environment variable. Sites may load slowly or return errors if the CDN or serverless functions are degraded. DNS and domain changes can take time to propagate, which looks like an outage but usually is not one. Login problems with the dashboard or with identity features also come up. Before reporting a problem, check a few things. Look at your deploy log for build errors. Confirm your DNS records are correct with your registrar. Try a hard refresh or a different network to rule out local caching. If everything on your side looks fine, an active incident here will confirm it.

Questions

Is Netlify down right now?

According to reports on this page, Netlify looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Netlify yet.

Why did my deploy fail even though nothing changed?

Builds depend on external packages and environment settings. If a dependency released a new version or an environment variable went missing, the same code can suddenly fail. Check the deploy log for the first error line and pin dependency versions where you can.

My DNS changes are not showing up. Is the site broken?

Probably not. DNS records can take anywhere from minutes to a couple of days to propagate, depending on caching. Verify your records at your registrar, then test from another network or use a DNS lookup tool before assuming there is an outage.
