About Playstation Vue

PlayStation Vue (PS Vue) was an over-the-top internet television service owned by Sony Group. It launched on March 18, 2015 and was discontinued on January 30, 2020. The service ran on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and other supported streaming platforms, and was headquartered in San Mateo.
PlayStation Vue was Sony's live TV streaming service. It delivered cable-style channels over the internet, without a satellite dish or set-top box from a traditional provider. Sony shut the service down in early 2020, so this status page now serves as a historical reference for anyone who still tracks it or runs into old account issues.
PS Vue let subscribers watch live television through apps on PlayStation consoles, streaming devices, and mobile devices. It competed with other internet TV packages and required a steady broadband connection. Problems users reported usually involved login failures, channel guide errors, or streams that buffered during peak hours. Cloud DVR and simultaneous streams could also misbehave when servers were under load. Since the service has been discontinued, most current issues are account or billing related. Check whether you were charged after the shutdown date, and confirm which device you were using when a problem appeared. Sony support remains the right contact for leftover account matters.
