About Proton VPN
Proton VPN is a virtual private network service developed and owned by Proton AG. It runs on Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android TV. The official site is protonvpn.com.
Proton VPN is a virtual private network service run by Proton AG. This status page tracks reported problems with the apps, VPN connections, login, and the website. If a server or client is misbehaving, you will find it here, with user reports showing which issues are current and how widespread they seem to be.
Proton VPN encrypts your internet traffic and routes it through secure servers, developed by the team behind Proton Mail. It is available as apps for platforms including Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS, plus browser support.
The problems we hear about most are failed connections, very slow speeds, servers that refuse to connect, and login trouble after app updates. The website can also go down on its own, which is unrelated to the tunnel itself.
Before reporting an issue, check your own internet connection first. Try a different server, update the app, and log out and back in. If other sites load normally without the VPN but the tunnel fails everywhere, the problem is more likely on the service side.
