About Samsung Notes

Samsung Notes is a software application developed by Samsung Electronics. It runs on Android and Microsoft Windows and is described as cross-platform software for taking notes.
Samsung Notes is Samsung's note-taking app for Galaxy devices and Windows. When it misbehaves, the usual trouble comes from sync problems, a frozen interface, or trouble opening the app at all. This page tracks reported issues and gives you a calm place to check whether the problem is on your device or on the service side.
Samsung Notes lets you create, edit, and sync notes across phones, tablets, and PCs. Notes can include text, drawings, images, and voice recordings, and syncing ties them to your Samsung account. Common problems include the app freezing mid-note, slow performance with large notebooks, failure to open after an update, and login or server connection errors that stop syncing. Notes that will not sync are one of the most reported issues. Before reporting a problem, check that you are signed in to the same Samsung account on all devices, that the app is updated to the latest version, and that your internet connection is stable. Restarting the app or the device resolves many small glitches.

Questions

Is Samsung Notes down right now?

According to reports on this page, Samsung Notes looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Samsung Notes yet.

Why won't my notes sync across devices?

Sync requires you to be signed in to the same Samsung account on every device, with an active internet connection. If sync stalls, sign out and back in, then check whether the app has the latest update installed.

What should I do if Samsung Notes freezes or won't open?

Close the app fully and reopen it. If that does not help, restart your device, clear the app cache in settings, or update the app. Freezes after an update are often fixed in a follow-up release.
