Terraform Cloud is HashiCorp's managed platform for running Terraform. When it has problems, plans and applies may fail to start, runs can queue for long periods, and logins through the web UI or API tokens may not work. This page tracks current availability and collects user reports so you can quickly tell whether the issue is on your end or on the service side.
Terraform Cloud hosts Terraform state, runs remote plans and applies, and manages variables and team access. Teams use it as the central place to provision infrastructure, so an outage can block deployments across many projects at once. Common problems include slow or stuck runs, failed API calls from CI pipelines, workspace state locks that never release, and errors when authenticating with an API token. The web dashboard itself can also go down even when runs keep working. On your side, check that your Terraform CLI version and provider versions are supported, confirm your API token is valid and not expired, and look at the run queue in the workspace in case your run is simply waiting for capacity. A locked state file or an unset variable can look a lot like an outage, so reviewing recent run logs helps narrow things down.

Questions

Is Terraform Cloud down right now?

According to reports on this page, Terraform Cloud looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Terraform Cloud yet.

Why is my Terraform run stuck in the queue?

Runs can wait when the platform is busy or when a run at your organization tier has already queued ahead of it. If the queue stays frozen for a long time while status shows normal, check your run configuration and try again after a short wait.

My API token stopped working. What should I do?

First confirm the token has not expired or been revoked in your organization settings. If the token is valid but authentication still fails, and the status page reports login or API issues, wait for the problem to clear and retry.
