Wikipedia is a free, multilingual online encyclopedia that anyone can edit. It is operated by the Wikimedia Foundation and covers topics in hundreds of languages. This status page tracks problems with the website, the mobile apps, and the account login flow. When pages load slowly, edits fail, or signing in breaks, the reports here help you see whether the issue is on your end or on Wikipedia's side.
Wikipedia is the free online encyclopedia launched in 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. It is written and maintained by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, a non-profit based in the United States. Articles exist in hundreds of languages, and nearly every page can be edited by any reader. As a large web service, it occasionally runs into trouble. Article pages or images may fail to load, the search index can lag behind recent edits, saving an edit may time out, or account logins and two-factor prompts may not go through. The mobile apps depend on the same infrastructure, so app issues often trace back to the site itself. If something looks broken, start on your side. Check your internet connection, disable ad blockers or privacy extensions for the site, and try a different browser or the mobile web version. If edits fail, wait a moment and retry, since edit conflicts resolve themselves in most cases. Then compare what you see with the reports here.
