CharacterAI lets people chat with AI characters through its website and mobile app. When something stops working here, conversations may not load, replies may stall mid-message, or sign-in may fail. This page tracks those problems as they are reported and confirmed.
CharacterAI is a platform for chatting with AI-generated characters. You can use it in a browser or through the app, and an account is needed to keep your chats and characters across devices. Most issues fall into three groups: login trouble, slow or failed replies, and pages that will not load in the browser.
If messages hang or send repeatedly, check your own connection first. A weak network can interrupt streaming replies and make the service look broken when it is not. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule that out.
If you cannot sign in, confirm your username and password on another device or in a private browser window. Clearing the app cache or refreshing the site often clears stuck sessions. If the app itself will not open, check that it is updated to the latest version.
