Fallout is a series of post-apocalyptic role-playing games, originally created by Interplay Entertainment and developed over the years by studios including Black Isle Studios, Micro Forté, Bethesda Game Studios, and Obsidian Entertainment. This page tracks reported problems across game play, login, server connection, and website issues for the series. Check here first when something stops working, and report what you are seeing so others have a clearer picture.
The Fallout series spans multiple games and platforms, from the early isometric titles to the newer open-world releases. Depending on the game you play, you may deal with different services: single-player content, online multiplayer modes, account systems, and launcher or store websites. That mix means a problem with one part does not always point to a problem with everything. Common issues include trouble signing in to your account, failed connections to online servers, slow or broken downloads, and crashes during play. Website problems, such as pages that will not load, also get reported. During busy periods after updates or new releases, server load can cause connection errors that are not faults on your end. Before reporting, try a few basics. Check that your game and platform software are up to date. Restart your router and your console or PC. Verify game files if your platform supports it. If login keeps failing, confirm your account credentials on the publisher's website. If the status page shows no active incidents, the issue may be local to your setup or connection.

Questions

Is Fallout down right now?

According to reports on this page, Fallout looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Fallout yet.

Why can I play the single-player mode but not connect online?

The single-player and online parts of a Fallout game often run on separate services. A connection problem can affect online servers while single-player content keeps working. Check the status page for server connection reports, and make sure your game and platform software are current before troubleshooting your network.

What should I do if I cannot sign in to my account?

First confirm your email and password by signing in on the publisher's website in a browser. If that works but the game does not, check for a login-related incident on this page, then restart the game or launcher. Two-factor authentication codes older than a minute are a common cause of failed sign-ins.
