About Fling

Fling is a family name.
Fling is tracked here across its app, website, and feed services. When something goes wrong, it usually shows up as failed logins, stalled uploads, or a feed that stops refreshing. This page collects those reports in one place so you can see whether others are affected too. Check here before you reinstall anything or reset a password.
Fling is a social service that lets people share short posts and browse a public feed. You can comment, follow profiles, and upload media from the app or the website. Activity moves fast, so a short interruption is noticeable right away. The usual trouble spots are login sessions that drop, uploads that hang at a percentage, and feeds that stop loading new items. Server connection errors tend to come and go rather than last all day. Comments sometimes fail to post even when everything else works. Start on your side if something breaks. Confirm your internet connection, close and reopen the app, and check whether the website loads in a browser. If only one feature is misbehaving, it is often a partial issue rather than a full outage. Clearing the app cache or logging out and back in fixes many session problems.

Questions

Is Fling down right now?

According to reports on this page, Fling looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Fling yet.

Why can I log in on the website but not in the app?

The app and website use separate sessions. A stale session on one side can block login while the other keeps working. Log out of the app completely, then sign in again. If that fails, wait a few minutes and retry before changing your password.

Why are my uploads stuck or failing?

Large media files fail more often on weak connections, and busy servers can slow processing down. Try a smaller file or a different network first. If uploads fail on every network, the problem is likely on the service side and will resolve on its own.
