Gears Tactics is a 2020 turn-based tactics game developed by Splash Damage and The Coalition. You build a squad, take on missions, and fight through the Locust horde in structured, grid-based battles. It runs on Windows, Xbox, and through cloud streaming. Because it is a single-player-focused game, most issues involve login and account access rather than match servers. Signing in with the wrong Microsoft account, an expired game pass, or a stale client cache are the usual causes. Launcher errors can also block the game from starting. On your side, check that you are signed into the correct Microsoft account and that your subscription or license is active. Restart the launcher, then the device. A slow connection can interrupt the initial sign-in handshake, so test your network before reinstalling anything.
