About Glitch

Glitch is a casual browser game released in 2011. It was developed by Slack Technologies.
Glitch was a browser-based game from 2011, created by the team that later founded Slack Technologies. Because it runs entirely in your browser, most reported problems trace back to the website itself, account access, or the connection between your browser and the game servers. This page tracks the current status of the site and related services.
Glitch is a 2011 browser game. Nothing needs to be installed; you play through a website, so its availability depends on the game site staying online and reachable. When something goes wrong, it is usually one of a few things: the website does not load, login stops working, the connection to the game servers drops mid-session, or files like images and sounds fail to load. DNS or domain issues can also make the whole site unreachable for a while. Before reporting a problem, try a few things on your side. Refresh the page or open it in another browser. Check that you are not stuck on a cached or outdated login. A restart of your router can clear local connection problems. If the site loads for others but not for you, the fault is likely local; if it fails everywhere, it belongs here.

Questions

Is Glitch down right now?

According to reports on this page, Glitch looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Glitch yet.

Why does the game not load even though the site is open?

The page can load while the game itself fails if files or the server connection are unavailable. Try a hard refresh first. If images or sounds are missing, the problem may be with file access rather than your device.

Can I play without installing anything?

Yes. Glitch runs in a web browser, so there is nothing to download. You only need a working browser and a stable connection to the game site.
