About Kitsunebi

In Japanese folklore, kitsunebi are atmospheric ghost lights said to be created by kitsune, the fox spirits. The phenomenon is known across Japan and is treated as a yōkai. In Japanese it is written 狐火, with regional alternate names including 宙狐, 狐松明, ヒトボス, 火点し, and 中狐.
Kitsunebi is monitored here around the clock. This page gathers user reports and shows when problems spike across login, app speed, and server connection. If the app freezes, refuses to open, or an update stalls, check this page first before reinstalling anything. Status changes appear as soon as reports cluster, and we keep the timeline plain so you can see what happened and when.
Kitsunebi is an iOS emulator for playing retro console games, known for its support of multiple cores and controller setups. When the service runs normally, games launch quickly and saves sync without fuss. Because the app leans on online components for some features, issues tend to show up in a few predictable places: server connection drops, stuck login screens, and downloads that refuse to finish.

Questions

Is Kitsunebi down right now?

According to reports on this page, Kitsunebi looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Kitsunebi yet.

Why does Kitsunebi freeze when I open a game?

Freezes are usually local. Close background apps, check your free storage, and restart the app. If it keeps happening across several games, a reinstall may help, but check this page first to rule out a server-side problem.

What should I do if login keeps failing?

Check your credentials and your network connection first. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. If other users are reporting login trouble here, the issue is on the service side and waiting is usually the fastest fix.
