Serveo is a tunneling service that lets you expose a local server to the internet without installing extra software. It works over SSH, so setup is usually a single command. If connections fail, the cause is often on your end: an unreachable SSH port, a local service that isn't running, or an outbound network that blocks SSH traffic.
Serveo forwards traffic from a public address to a service on your own machine. You connect to it with the SSH client already installed on most systems, and it returns a public URL that maps back to your local port. There is no client to download and no account required for basic use.
Because it depends on SSH, the usual failure points are network-related. Corporate or campus firewalls sometimes block outbound connections on port 22. Local services can also bind to the wrong interface, which makes the tunnel appear broken even though it is up.
