What happened to Youtube, why did the service go down and not work? Here you can see who else is having the same problem with Youtube, as well as possible solutions. YouTube quit playing on my Roku Elite 3 days ago. When I open the app and pick a video I only get a black screen.

Roku and YouTube app is up to date. If I can not get this to work then I will have to cancel my paid premium account.

I watch such apps as YouTube, Prime and Tubi on my TV, but I can't get any of them this evening (Wed., 7/31/25 EST). I also "cut the cord" several months ago, so I get such apps via an internet modem. I am in NE Pennsylvania where we've had downpours during the day.

YouTube does not stay open — just says network error on a Samsung TV. However on a Roku TV using the same FIOS line YouTube works normal. Powering off TV and router does not correct problem.

YouTube app on Samsung series 7 TV crashes to black screen when trying to launch. Have attempted 'reinstall' from app settings on the TV, but issue persists. In app settings 'detail' for YouTube says "server is under maintenance".

Really hoping YouTube is still supported on this TV! It's about all I use on my smart TV 😪

it's about 3pm Wed January 29. have Roku smart tv and when I hit the Youtube button, screen goes black for a moment then returns to home screen. Have trie several times in the last 20 minutes. Other channels such as Roku and Tubi work fine.
