About Bridge Base Online

Bridge Base Online (BBO), also known simply as BBO, is a bridge game service. The company behind it, Bridge Base Inc., was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Las Vegas. Its website can be found at bridgebase.com.
Bridge Base Online (BBO) is the main online home for contract bridge. When something stops working, it is usually the login flow, the game tables, or the connection to the game servers. This page tracks those issues in plain terms, so you can quickly tell whether a problem sits with BBO or on your own setup.
Bridge Base Online is a bridge game service where players join tables, tournaments, and teaching rooms over the internet. It runs as a website plus a game client, and both talk to shared game servers. Problems tend to fall into a few groups: trouble signing in, tables that will not load, disconnections in the middle of a deal, and slow or broken pages on the website. Tournament play is more sensitive to connection drops than casual tables, so a shaky line often shows up there first. Start on your side. Check your own internet connection, close and reopen the client, and try a different browser if you use the web version. Make sure your login details are correct, and look at any firewall or VPN that might block the game servers. If nothing changes here, the issue is likely with the service itself.

Questions

Is Bridge Base Online down right now?

According to reports on this page, Bridge Base Online looks fine for most people. Isolated failures still happen — report yours if you are stuck.

When was the last mass outage?

We do not have a recorded mass outage for Bridge Base Online yet.

Why do I keep getting disconnected mid-game?

Mid-game disconnects usually come from an unstable internet connection rather than the service itself. Try a wired connection or move closer to your router. If other websites also feel slow, fix that first, then reconnect to the table.

What should I do if the game client will not load?

Close the client fully and reopen it, then clear your browser cache if you use the web version. Check that no firewall, VPN, or security software is blocking the connection. If the page still fails, check here for ongoing issues.
